Spiritia Foundation: Looking for a consultant to implement a Community Based HIV Self-Screening Study

The Spiritia Foundation was conceived as an umbrella organization in Indonesia in 1995, seeking to assist local and regional Indonesian HIV/AIDS institutions. Spiritia has organized national meetings of people living with HIV. It has strived to maintain awareness of the epidemic within the Indonesian population. The Spiritia Foundation supports the creation of new initiatives and establishes networks for prevention and access to treatment and care. Through their network of peer support groups, the foundation has provided training courses for peer treatment educators, ensured that marginalized groups are informed of their rights, set up funds to provide emergency support for indigenous people living with HIV and encouraged income generation through micro-credit initiatives. Its many programs are carried out by staff members, many of whom are people living with HIV.

Self-Screening for HIV is becoming an increasingly plausible option with the recent development of simple and accurate oral test kits, which have proven to be highly accurate when used by lay clients. However, HIV Self Screening Study to date has largely been limited to a single delivery model among general populations. More Study is needed on the acceptability of HIV Self Screening among key populations and the social benefits and harms of introducing HIV Self Screening to particularly vulnerable groups, such as MSM, TG and PWID. HIV self-sceening (HIVSS) can overcome these barriers by providing a quick, convenient, and confidential option, and has the potential to accelerate new HIV case detection in Indonesia.

Spiritia invites organizations to submit proposals to indicate their interest to implement the Community Based HIV Self Screening Study in Indonesia. In order to qualify, please submit a complete proposal, detail budget for management fee and include the following documents:
1. Legal Status: (Registered in Indonesia according to prevailing laws and NPWP)
2. Organizational profile which includes: Organizational name, name of organization leader, e-mail address, telephone number, organizational structure and legal status of the organization.
3. Financial Policy & Guidelines
4. Procurement Guidelines
